Whether as an actor, writer, or producer, Ray McKinnon does it all with a certain Southern flair. A native of Adel, Georgia, McKinnon made his mark with a variety of character roles in films like
The Net,
O Brother Where Art Thou?, and
Apollo 13. In 2002, he earned an Academy Award for Best Live Action Short for his quirky look at the corporatization of the farming industry in
The Accountant. Says McKinnon: "I've always been inspired to represent the region where I'm from in a way that is authentic to me."
